Use | Method of production pure zinc carbonate was added in portions to an excess of 90% formic acid solution, and the resulting carbon dioxide was allowed to escape by slight heating. Zinc formate was precipitated and the product was collected by filtration. It was heated to constant weight at 140 °c. |
